Terms of Service
Effective October 23, 2026. These terms are between you and LYTE App, LLC, which makes FLEE.
The service
FLEE lets you lock the apps on your own iPhone and ask people you choose (allies) to unlock it early. A lock always ends by itself after the safety timer you picked. Phone and Messages keep working during a lock, and emergency calls are never blocked.
Price and subscriptions
FLEE is free to start, and no payment details are needed. Your first few locks are free (practice locks never count). After that, locking needs a subscription: $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year in the US, billed by Apple to your App Store account. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings under your name, then Subscriptions. A lock that has already started always runs its course, and allies can always unlock it.
Beta testers. Anyone who uses FLEE during the beta is a beta tester and can keep using FLEE free for life, with no subscription, on the phone number they used during the beta. Practice locks and real locks are unlimited for beta testers.
Referrals. You get a free month of FLEE for each friend who enters your code and finishes setup (their first ally unlocks their practice lock), once per friend's phone number. Free months add to your time without a subscription; they don't pause or refund an App Store subscription. Referral months have no cash value and we may end the program at any time.
Your part
- You must be 18 or older and use FLEE only on your own phone.
- Only invite people you know who you expect will want to help. Each ally must accept your invite before we text them.
- Keep your sign-in secure, and don't misuse the service or try to break it.
Allies
Allies need no app or account. By accepting an invite, an ally agrees to our text message terms. An ally can only end a lock early; no one can lock your phone except you.
SMS Terms
LYTE App, LLC sends FLEE text messages: sign-in codes and unlock notices to users, and to allies who accepted an invite, a text with an unlock link when that user locks their phone, plus occasional alerts about that user's setup. No marketing. Message frequency varies, usually fewer than 10 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Support: hello@asklyte.ai. Not a crisis service
FLEE is a self-help tool, not medical, counseling or emergency care. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. In the US you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
No guarantee
FLEE depends on Apple's Screen Time system, your phone, mobile networks and text-message delivery, which we don't control. Texts and notifications can be delayed. The service is provided "as is", and to the extent the law allows, LYTE App, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
Ending
You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service. We may update these terms and will post the new date here.
