Privacy Policy

FLEE lets you lock your iPhone when you need to, so that only someone you trust (an "ally") can unlock it early. This policy explains what we collect to do that, and what we never collect.

What we never collect

We do not see, store or share which apps you use, what you look at, your browsing, your messages, or your location. The lock happens on your phone through Apple's Screen Time system, and none of that usage information leaves your device. Your allies are told only that you locked your phone and asked for help.

What we collect

• Your account: your name, mobile number and email address, your safety timer choice, and your time zone.
• Your allies: the names and mobile numbers you enter, whether they accepted your invite, and the record of their consent to get texts (the wording they agreed to, the time, and the IP address and browser they used).
• Locks: when each lock started and ended, how it was started (Siri, Back Tap or the in-app button), and which ally unlocked it, plus any short note the ally chose to send you.
• Your device: a push notification token, the app and iOS version, and whether FLEE's Screen Time access is turned on.
• App usage and crashes: which setup steps you finish, when you lock and unlock, how long an unlock takes to reach your phone, and crash reports. These are tied to a random account ID, never your name, number or email, and we never record your screen.
• Website visits: pages viewed on getflee.app and whether you joined the beta, using cookies.

How we use it

Only to run FLEE: to sign you in, text your allies when you lock, unlock your phone when an ally taps Unlock, tell your allies if FLEE's Screen Time access is turned off or the app stops checking in, and measure how quickly locks are resolved so we can improve the service. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

We use your email address to send setup tips, beta updates and news about FLEE. To stop them, reply to any email and ask us to unsubscribe you.

Who we share it with

We use these service providers, only to run FLEE:

• Twilio, to send text messages and sign-in codes.
• Apple, to deliver push notifications.
• Resend, to send email.
• PostHog, to measure app and website usage and collect crash reports.
• Vercel and Neon, to host our servers and database.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Text messages

LYTE App, LLC sends FLEE text messages only to people who agreed to get them: sign-in codes and lock alerts to users, and unlock links and setup alerts to allies who accepted an invite. Message frequency varies, usually fewer than 10 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and opt-in consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. See our text message terms.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account), which removes your profile, allies and lock history from our database. Allies can stop all texts at any time by replying STOP.

Security

Sign-in and unlock links use long random tokens that we store only in hashed form. Data travels over encrypted connections.

Children

FLEE is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
