Text Message Terms
See exactly how allies and users agree to texts, with the wording they see: how people opt in.
Program
FLEE (LYTE App, LLC) sends text messages to two groups: users, who get sign-in codes and a text when an ally unlocks their phone; and allies, people a user has invited to help them, who get a text with an unlock link when that user locks their phone, plus occasional alerts about that user's FLEE setup.
How allies opt in
A user invites an ally by sending them a link from the user's own phone. FLEE does not text the ally at this point. The ally opens the link, reads what being an ally means, confirms the number is theirs with a one-time code, ticks a box agreeing to get texts from FLEE, and taps Accept. Only then do we send any text, starting with a welcome message that explains how to opt out. We keep a record of each acceptance.
Users opt in when they enter their own number in the FLEE app to sign in and agree to these terms.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with how often the user locks their phone, usually fewer than 10 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out and help
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from FLEE. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@asklyte.ai. After STOP, an ally who wants texts again can reply START.
